Aspirational, Inquisitive, Mindful

Welcome to

I am extremely proud to welcome you to Thorpe Primary School.

Our school is a one form entry and is situated in the heart of Idle village, North of Bradford in West Yorkshire. This year (2023), we received a ‘Good’ judgement across all areas of the Ofsted framework in our graded inspection. We have also been shortlisted in the TES awards for 2023 Early Years Setting of the Year, and won the Silver Pearson Awards. We are also delighted to have been accredited with a ‘World Class Schools Quality Mark’ this year.

At Thorpe Primary School, you will find amazing children who are happy, settled and love to learn. We provide fun, engaging learning experiences and help children to develop a curiosity for learning in a safe and welcoming environment. We believe that working in partnership is a key to success and have good relationships with our supportive families and wider community. We work together to ensure that our children are happy, confident and resilient learners who are prepared for their future. Providing life changing education for our children and families is at the heart of everything that we do. Our committed, supportive and welcoming staff ensure that all children enjoy their time at primary school whilst helping them to reach their full potential. We are a team โ€“ respecting and supporting one another to drive the school forwards.

At Thorpe Primary School, our three core values for our children are to be Aspirational, Inquisitive and Mindful. Together, we ‘AIM for Excellence!’

Thorpe Primary School is proud to be part of Carlton Academy Trust, where we work collaboratively to ensure that our children can succeed and achieve the best possible outcomes.
