Isolating Bubbles

If your child is asked to self-isolate, please remember it is a legal requirement for them to stay at home and follow the government guidelines. This is to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 in our community.

Thank you to our isolating children and their parents this week for all their effort on returning to home learning

School has a legal obligation to provide your child with home learning while isolating. All of the work set by their teacher can be found on google classrooms, this work is expected to be completed and is not optional. If you are having any difficulties, please send a message to their teacher on google classrooms or contact the school office. If your child is unable to complete the work due to illness, you still need to report their absence to the office as normal.

COVID Guidance on Self Isolation

If your child or any member of your household / support bubble displays any Covid symptoms; a high temperature, new/continuous cough or the loss of taste or smell the household must isolate immediately and book a PCR test for the person displaying symptoms, a lateral flow test cannot be used when symptoms are displayed. You can book one by calling 119 or using the following link: Get a free PCR test to check if you have coronavirus (COVID-19) – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

You must provide evidence of a negative PCR test before your child can return to school.

If you have any queries or questions please call school and we will be happy to discuss this further with you

Spring Bank Holiday

Summer Reading Challenge

Bradford Libraries have invited us to take part in the summer reading challenge again. The challenge is to encourage children to read for pleasure during the summer holidays. By providing fun reading activities the Summer Reading Challenge will also play a key role in supporting reading catch-up after a difficult year.

This year’s theme – ‘Wild World Heroes’ – in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund, will inspire children to celebrate nature and wildlife, think about the environment and explore ways of standing up for the planet.

All children between four and 12 years can join the

Wild World Heroes Summer Reading Challenge 2021.

The FUN starts in July. More information will be sent out by school nearer the time.

There will also be free events throughout the summer holidays linked to the Wild World Heroes Summer Reading Challenge. For more information and updates visit  www.bradford.gov.uk/libraries
