If your child has asthma please make sure you inform the school office so our records are up to date and we have an  inhaler in school at all times. Thank you.

Online Safety

Following concerns from some parents around the use of social media, in particular TikTok, please can we ask that although TikTok requires users to be at least 13, if your child does access this platform, you check that settings are set to ‘private’. This will ensure that only people whom you and your child know can contact and view their videos. If settings are on ‘public’, anyone can view videos, send direct messages and access their location information. The location service in the app should also therefore be turned off. On websites about TikTok parents are also advised to monitor their child’s account and let them know that as a parent have TikTok and will be keeping an eye on their account.

If you require any further information or support, please contact school.

General information with new procedures

Hand sanitiser is available in the main reception area for the use of visitors, including parents. Only one parent at a time will be able to enter the office area and will be required to wear a mask.

Any monies to be handed over must be placed in an envelope, sealed and placed in a tray before being passed to a member of the office team.

Pupils who are late to school are to access through the reception area.

Please can we remind everyone that school shoes/trainers should be plain black. Children must have a PE kit in school to be able to participate as we are unable to lend spare PE kits. Only children who are returning to Y5 and then moving into Y6 can bring school bags. All other year groups need to use a school book bag.

Flu vaccination

If you have not already done so, please return the letter and form from Bradford’s Immunisation Team regarding the annual flu vaccination. If you wish your child to have the vaccine, you will need to complete the consent form. If you do not want your child to have this vaccine, you will still need to return the form, stating the reason why. Your child will not be vaccinated if parental consent has not been given.

Weekly Achievements

At present we will not be holding our weekly Honours assembly. However we want to continue to celebrate individual children’s achievements. For this half term, two children will be selected from each class to receive a special certificate. They will be named on the weekly newsletter and their photos put on the school’s Twitter account.
