World Book Day
It was fantastic to see so many children and staff dressed up as book/story characters for World Book Day yesterday. Each class were presented with a story book – ‘a twist on a traditional tale’ which they used to base a variety of activities on throughout the day. From a court case to a debate, to a crime scene to making gingerbread men it was a busy and fun day.
A note has been sent home today regarding the Mother’s Day shop which will take place on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th March. Please complete the slip and return with payment to school by Friday 13th March.
Our Easter Assembly is on Friday 3rd April at 9.15am. Children in Reception, Y1 & Y2 are invited to decorate a hat for our Easter Bonnet parade and competition. Children in KS2 are invited to decorate an egg. This year’s theme is a character from a favourite book or story. A letter regarding the Easter Raffle has been sent home today.
We will once again be supporting this event which takes place on Friday 13th March. For a donation of 50p per child, children can come to school dressed in sports clothes.
