Children will not have a moving up morning in their new classrooms as we have done in previous years, due to how classes are organised in ‘bubbles’. Instead, staff will visit the classes on Thursday morning for a transition session.
Reports
As you will be aware, schools have to send a written report to parents on their child’s progress for the academic year by the end of each summer term.
The DfE has laid regulations to remove the requirement to report pupils’ attendance data for the 2021-22 academic year in recognition of the impact of coronavirus on possible attendance. Following the cancellation of assessments, the requirement to report the outcomes of the phonics, KS1 and KS2 tests or teacher assessments has also been removed by the DfE.
Reports will be sent home on Thursday 15th July.
September
We are waiting for updated DfE advice before we make any final decisions about the return to school in September. We will inform you before the end of term what is planned.
BCFC Spring Bank Football Camp
Bradford City Football Club Community Foundation are again running a football camp in the summer holidays. The camps are centred around football, fun and games, and all their staff have enhanced DBS checks, are fully qualified in emergency aid and safeguarding, and all have minimum FA Level 2 qualifications. All children aged between 5 and 14 of abilities are welcome to join.

Covid in the Community
We are writing to remind you of your responsibilities and the advice you must follow during Covid-19. We want to make sure all members of our community are safe and to do this we need your help:
- If you, or anyone in the household, have symptoms of Covid-19 – Do NOT send your child to school:
- Your child must self- isolate.
- They may return to school if the person with symptoms tests negative and your child has not developed symptoms.
- If you, or anyone in the household, tests positive for Covid-19 – Do NOT send your child to school.
- Your child must self-isolate for 10 days, even if they themselves test negative during that period
- Your child may need to extend the self-isolation period if they develop symptoms
- They may return to school after 10 days without the need for further testing.
This advice is so important for the safety of our community. It will help stop the spread of the virus and protect vulnerable people who may become seriously ill or even die as a result of catching Covid-19.
Your cooperation will also help reduce possible infections spreading in school and reduce classes or bubbles having to close.
Please note that if you are contacted by the Test and Trace service the requirement for you to self-isolate is enforceable with fines of up to £10,000. Schools are already working with the Local Authority who has an active programme of engagement with communities to reduce Covid-19 infections.
If you are required to self-isolate, you may be entitled to some financial support:
