Well being week 9.7.18
This week we have been discussing how to have a healthy body and a healthy mind.
We have made healthy fruit ice lollies which we ate after completing a daily mile. We enjoyed each others company during a KS1 picnic and have been practising yoga poses such as the mountain, the chair and the warrior. The warrior pose!
OBON day 29.6.18
We discussed British values and talked about how ,although we are all different in lots of ways, we all live in Britain.
We made family chains showing where some of our family were born. We have children with family born in South Africa, Poland and Kenya.
After lots of discussion about safety, the children made fires and some children roasted marshmallows.
Session 1 12.6.18
Yesterday Year 2 had their first session of Forest schools with Lizzie Lee. The children had a fantastic time playing ‘getting to know you’ games, making wooden discs and having a ‘mindful moment’ in a special place in the garden.
The children have 5 more session before we break up for the summer holidays – every Tuesday morning.I will add more photos next week.
Year 2 is the last year in Key Stage 1.
Our aim is to make sure everyone achieves their very best, and has fun along the way!
