The school adopts the standard admissions policy used by the LEA for new entrants.
All children will be admitted in the September of the academic year in which they become 5 years old. Parents need to fill in a preference form by the end of January of the preceding year. These can be obtained from the school office.
Our planned admission limit is 30 children for each year group.
Parents of prospective pupils are welcome to visit the school by arrangement with the Head Teacher.
This is a very special time for children and parents. We aim, with your support, to make the entry year smooth, calm and enjoyable for all involved. The school year runs from September to August. We will be developing links with local nurseries and pre-school provisions during the term before your child starts school. We will be offering home visits and inviting you to bring your child to visit their new class, to meet their teacher and to take part in some planned activities. These sessions will help your child to become more familiar with school and to meet the other children with whom they will be starting school. During the summer term you will be invited to attend a New Entrants Meeting.
Children Transferring from Another School
We will contact previous schools and collect progress records for children who are moving into the area or changing schools in order to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Please contact school to discuss our Accessibility Plan and to discuss individual needs.
