Poppy Pebbles
The children have been busy painting poppies onto their pebbles this week. I am sure that you will agree that they have done an amazing job.

Children in Need
Thank you for helping us support this year’s BBC’s Children in Need campaign. We will let you know how much we raised in next week’s newsletter.

Health and Safety Update
School drop off and pick up
Bearing in mind the current national lockdown please can we remind parents/carers to follow social distancing guidelines at all times on the school premises. Please can we also ask that you leave the school grounds as soon as you have dropped off or collected your child/children to avoid any congestion at the school gates. As we communicated in last week’s newsletter following updated LA and DfE guidance, if you are able to wear a mask/face covering, then you should do so when on school grounds. We want to ensure that we all continue to work together for the health, safety and wellbeing of all the school community. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Anti-Bullying Week
The theme for Anti-Bullying Week 2020 is: United Against Bullying. Anti-Bullying Week will happen from Monday 16th – Friday 20th November.

Odd Socks Day
Anti-Bullying week will start with Odd Socks Day which we will be taking part in again this year. All children need to do is wear their uniform and odd socks! It’s a great way to celebrate what makes us all unique. It will be held on Monday 16th November 2020.

Parent/Carer Workshops & Support Groups
Bradford Educational Psychology Team are offering FREE workshops and support groups for parents and carers. Please see the flyer on the school’s website under COVID information.

Whole School Flu Immunisations
The immunisation team will be in school on Tuesday 17th November as part of the annual programme to vaccinate children against influenza. Only children whose parents have given consent will be vaccinated

Christmas activities
Unfortunately, due to the current situation we will not be holding our annual Christmas Fair this year.
However, we will be holding the Christmas Raffle and Secret Santa shop and letters have gone out today.
Full scale productions will not take place, however we will be doing the Reception nativity which Reception parents will be able to watch a recording of.
There will be no Christmas service at Church this year.
We will once again be participating in Christmas Jumper day on Friday 11th December
We will still have Christmas dinner which we will organise over two days during the week of 8th December.
Christmas parties will take place in the last week of term (each year group bubble will have their own party). We will confirm party dates nearer the time.

Staff absence
It is possible that staff absence may be higher than normal due to self-isolation or their own children having to self-isolate. School will endeavour to cover any absence internally and when necessary, through supply agencies. We will do everything we can to keep classes open, however if high staff absence does become the case, we may have to close certain classes on the grounds of health and safety, although this would be a last resort.
