6th November 2020
Please note that school will be closed on Monday 30th November for a training day.
Face Coverings
Following updated LA and DFE guidance, all parents and carers will now have to wear face coverings on school grounds when dropping off and collecting children.
YEAR 2- GROW TO Schools
Year 2 had a fantastic day with the company Edible Playgrounds out in our garden. The children have helped to weed our vegetable beds and had fun creating animal cafes with natural materials.
Poppy Pebbles
To celebrate Remembrance Day this year, we would like each child to bring a pebble into school on Monday 9th November. Each child will hand paint their own pebble in school to commemorate Remembrance Day and focus on the importance of the poppy symbol. Your child’s pebble needs to be around the size of an adult’s palm. The pebbles will then be sent home for the children to either put in their garden or leave at a local memorial. Children may want to research their family history to see if any family member served in the armed forces during WW1 so that they can put their name on the back of the pebble.
Whole School Flu Immunisations
The immunisation team will be in school on Tuesday 17th November as part of the annual programme to vaccinate children against influenza. Only children whose parents have given consent will be vaccinated.
Children in Need
We will once again be supporting BBC’s Children in Need campaign on Friday 13th November.
This year Children in Need is making children’s mental wellbeing their number one priority.
Children can wear non – uniform and bring a donation of 50p per child.
