Year 2 had the first of their 6 sessions of Forest Schools this week. They played ‘getting to know you’ games, had a mindful moment in a special place in the garden and decorated wooden discs.
OBON (One Britain One Nation)
OBON has a vision to unite the people of our country. It is devoted to galvanising the efforts of all our people from all backgrounds to rejoice in their pride in Great Britain – to build an even stronger Britain. A society built on compassion, tolerance and harmony, based on mutual respect. OBON wants to bring us all together, not to focus on our differences but to celebrate the values we share in common to foster a deeper spirit of togetherness. The charity has planned an OBON Day on Friday 29th of June 2018. The OBON Day will give schools an opportunity to celebrate the day in the spirit it is intended and showcase how they are practically implementing the statutory obligation of promoting British Values.
We appreciate that at this time of year shoes that no longer fit or break are not always replaced. If this is the case, could you ensure your child has black pumps to wear school at all times.
If children do not have appropriate school wear they will be asked to wear their school pumps.
Can we also remind you that school uniform policy states that socks/tights are grey, white or black.
Thank you for your support in this matter.
Our supplies of spare P.E Kits are rapidly diminishing due to the number of children who are forgetting their kits. Please can you ensure that your child/children’s kits are in school at all times. If no spare kit is available then children will not be able to participate in P.E lessons.
