Next week, we will be having a Trim Trail installed on the top playground. This has been funded by additional Sports Grant funding, which schools receive from the Government to use to improve physical activity through P.E, sport and active playgrounds. We are very excited by the opportunities it will provide at playtimes, lunchtimes and during P.E lessons.
If you received a letter regarding your child’s asthma, please can you return the slip to school by Monday 15th January to ensure that our records are up to date.
On Line Safety
If you would like to view information about child safety on line for children who are using social media please go to the following website.
We would like to say a huge thank-you to one of our parents, Miss Gowthorpe, who has kindly donated some nativity costumes.
Starting this week, a lunchtime award will be presented to one child from Reception, Year 1 or 2 and one to a child from KS2. The children will have been nominated by staff during the week for their general behaviour in the dining hall and outside during lunchtimes.
Whilst we celebrate the many achievements that occur in school, we would also like to recognise all the achievements that take place out of school by many children. We will be dedicating a board in school to display photos of such achievements, so if your child has been in a competition, performance, taken a music exam, been awarded a badge or trophy, to name a few, let us know and we will take a photo to put on our display board.
February Half Term Minecraft Activity
If your child is between 6 and 11 years old and is a Minecraft enthusiast, this half-day Minecraft fun meet is a perfect half term activity.
Our experienced classroom practitioners will use Minecraft EDU on laptops to run a variety of interactive activities to allow your child to explore and create exciting new worlds.
Your child will have the opportunity to work independently or to collaborate with fellow minecrafters to build worlds, create characters and solve problems using imagination, creative thinking and teamwork.
As a memento of the day, you will be given a free photo of your child in a Minecraft world and a special souvenir.
You do not need to bring any equipment – all resources and laptops will be provided.
There is no need for parents/guardians to stay, but if you feel more comfortable remaining on the premises, we have a space where you can wait. All our staff are DBS registered and are experienced classroom practitioners.
The meets are being held on Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th February and are repeated four times.
Please visit the website to book a place for your child.
