FoTPs

We would like to say a big thank-you to FoTPs for buying Christmas presents for every child in school. Reception, Y1 and Y2 were very excited to have a special visitor deliver their presents during their party!

FoTPs are also going to contribute towards the transport costs for a trip for every class.

We really appreciate the hard work and support from FoTPs and we hope that more parents can join them next year to help fund raise for school.

Social Media

Please can we remind everyone that whilst taking photos of performances and assemblies is allowed, these are for personal use only. Photos of children other than your own should not be uploaded to social media sites such as Facebook unless you have their parents permission. We do not want to have to impose a ban on photos being taken in the future, but if it does come to our attention that this has occurred, then unfortunately, we will have no choice.

If you are made aware that your children have been included in posts made on social media by other parents without your permission, please can you let school know.

We hope that you can support us on this matter so that photos can continue to be taken.

Christmas

It was lovely to see so many families join us in Church last week for a whole school Christmas carol service. We have received some very positive feedback and look forward to future celebrations held in Church. When we got back to school, we received a fantastic Christmas dinner (thank-you to our kitchen staff).

This week, Years 1 and 2 performed their Christmas play ‘Lights, Camel, Action – Strictly a Nativity’. They were all amazing and the speaking, singing and dancing were excellent. Well done!

It was also Reception’s first performance in front of an audience and didn’t they do well with their Christmas play ‘Born in a Barn’ ! We were really proud of each and every one of them.

On behalf of all the staff and children at Thorpe Primary School, we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!     tree
