10th November

Attendance

Our whole school target this year is 96.5%

Every half-term we will let you know what individual year group and whole school attendance figures are.

We will hold a prize draw every half term for children who have had 100% attendance for that half-term.

Children who have 100% attendance for the whole year will be presented with a certificate.

Certificates will also be awarded at the end of the year to children who have achieved our whole school target or above (with absences that are authorised).

Thank you for your continued co-operation and support in this important matter.   Let’s keep working hard to achieve our target!

School Photos

The orders for the school photos will be collected by Fri 17th November. If you wish to make an order, please make sure they are back in school before that date. Thank you

FoTPS

The Friends of Thorpe Primary School are having a meeting on Wednesday 15th November at 6pm in the Idle Beer House where we will be discussing the Christmas Fair. Please come along and join us and if you can help at all on the day, please let us know, so we can organise who is doing what. Thank you for your support.

Children in Need

We will once again be supporting BBC’s Children in Need event on Friday 17th November.

For a donation of £1, children can come to school in non-uniform. The theme is ‘Make it Spotty’ so if you can, we would like children to wear a spotty item of clothing/accessory

Children in Need merchandise will be on sale in the school office from Friday 10th November

Pudsey’s round pound countdown

You can no longer spend your old pounds but there are still millions to be found.  Children in Need are challenging the nation to hunt for them in saving jars, money boxes and coat pockets, then put them to good use by donating to BBC Children in Need.

To donate any round pound coins you find, take them to any major bank, building society, post office, Boots, Greggs or Cineworld.
