E-SAFETY

Following Safer Internet Day, where we raised awareness of and reminded children how to stay safe on social networks, apps and games, it has come to our attention that a number of children are using the app, Musical.ly.

This is a video social network app for video creation, messaging and live broadcasting.

The app is listed on iTunes as 12+, however on Musical.ly’s own terms, it states you must be at least 13.

You can find more information at:

https://www.webwise.ie/parents/explained-musical-ly/

Thank you for continuing to support us in keeping all our children safe when using the Internet.

If you have any concerns or questions, please do contact school.

YEAR 3 GYMNASTICS COMPETITION

On Tuesday a group of Y3 children took part in the Sports UK gymnastics competition at Woodhouse Grove School. They demonstrated excellent team work, sportsmanship and outstanding gymnastic skills. Their hard work paid off and they won silver medals! We are very proud of them all.

STAFF NEWS

Today we say goodbye to Mrs Kemp, our school cook. We would like to wish her all the best in her retirement and for the future.  We would like to thank her for all her hard work over the past 27 years.

We would also like to say goodbye to Miss Firth who has successfully completed her teaching placement in year 1. We wish her all the best as she embarks on her teaching career.

WORLD BOOK DAY

Children can come dressed as their favourite character and we would like them to bring their favourite story book. The character they dress up as does not have to be from their chosen book.
